And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Bangkok Trip - Part 5

Last day: 01 April 2008

Well, we didn't really do much except to check out and hang out around our hotel. I managed to get a French manicure and pedicure at a nail salon nearby for a total of $15 SGD. Cheap cheap! But the quality/ service of it wasn't as professional as that of Singapore's nail salons of course. Other than that, we just spent time taking more photos around our lovely hotel, Le Fenix Sukhumvit. Check it out at http://www.lefenix-sukhumvit.com/. Highly recommended!

Overall, it was a wonderful trip with all the retail therapy and beautiful sightseeing. I also realise that Thai people are very hospitable. More than once, we've been approached by helpful Thais who offered us assistance when they saw us trying to figure out our directions with our map in hand. They even recommended us where to go and what to do. One of our cab drivers was also especially helpful in introducing more about Bangkok to us. Then again, there were also a few cab drivers who weren't very friendly and tried to cheat us.

Important tips:
  1. Always carry a map around in Thailand lest your cab driver takes you for a joy ride.
  2. Always be firm when bargaining!
  3. Be prepared to do lots of walking in the hot sun, so bring lots of water, sunscreen and shades!
