And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Kelly the Environmentalist~

Environmental Science is the topic of my module this week and it has once again roused da "nature lover" in me which made me study geography back in sec sch. I really like studyin bout our Mother Earth actually cos its really amazing to learn bout how the ecosystem works, why volcanoes erupt, how energy is harnessed etc.

We've touched on corals, fossils, trees, water this week and I actually got to observe some real fossils in school. The above pic was taken on Tues at West Elm Creek which is a stream my school has adopted to do water quality checks. The view there is beautiful with da snow falling and water running. There are dams built by beavers and fishes swimming about....it jz makes me feel so in touch with nature.

The stream runs juz below a road so we jz had to climb over the railing onto the rocks to access the stream where we collected data and samples of the stream water back to school for water quality evaluation...and we did all tis in the snow...after which all of us engaged in a snow fight on the wide road and emerged wet n laughing..it was so fun dat even our lecturer joined in!

Did I mention that Oklahoma is an agricultural state? Everyday on the bus as I pass by houses, many of them have their own farms. I've seen horses running freely and even rabbits hoping around in my hotel! There's a good deal of wild dogs, cows and deers too when I was at the Creek. The only bad thing bout snow is that its freezing cold and the ground is slippery...I've slipped quite a few times oredi >.<

I'll be headin to Mount Witchia in the morning tomoro to experience more wonders of Mother Nature...Heez >.<

Signin off,
The Au Naturale Lian =P
