And when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

Behind this Successful Man, there is a Girl....

Date: 26 Jul 2007

Location: Nanyang Technological University- School of Biological Science Atrium

Event: School of Electrical Engineering Convocation Class 2007

Time flies when you're schooling. It wasn't too long too ago when I donned on a similar graduation gown and threw my graduation hat up along with a bunch of very good friends/classmates. How could I forget the good times I had with my MDIS mates!
I'm really glad to be a part of His convocation. It marks a major milestone in His life and knowing that I am part of it, is very heartening. Sorry for the times I almost "screwed up" the FYP/studies/final exams. Then again, I did "study" at Expo along with Him and got Him an "Exam Survival Kit" consisting of chicken essence and snacks....Hee!

Congrats my dear, I'm really proud of you!

Pleasures of Work
Once in a while, there would be times during my course of work that I get to have lots of fun with all my colleagues in a joyful atmosphere. All decor in the pictures are wonderfully created by creative preschool teachers. =D

Miss Singapore International 2007

13 Jul 2007 Friday @ Raffles Town Club
The Queen, Ms Christabel Tsai & I

This is the third "more official" kind of pageant I've participated in the past two years and I must say it was one of the most organised, with all the time schedule ready beforehand so that I had time to make arrangements.

Though I didn't win anything, the experience was great especially with all the generous sponsors. We got a crash course in deportment and public speaking which really helped and went to volunteer at the Thye Hui Kwan Moral Home for the Disabled and the Lions Home for the Elderly on one of the weekends. Hee, I even appeared on TV & WanBao!

I really enjoyed myself very much with the girls though it was really tiring. Its never easy to have to change so many outfits within a mere two hours, remember all the different cheorography for the different music, strut like a supermodel in those 4-inch heels with 500 people looking at you and still smile as if you're on 9th cloud! Not forgetting all the "safety precautions" you have to take and all the preparation work beforehand! I was especially worried about my evening wear as my gown was one of the longest, so in the end, I held up my gown for the entire evening!

Many thanks to all the organisers, sponsors, Genecia (Ms Singapore International 2006) and the other finalists for all the help, patience and guidance. I've really benefitted a lot from the whole experience. And of course, to my SPECIAL one for his moral support and taking so many pictures for me!
